I wonder when they'll add the Tuscaloosa/Birmingham area of Alabama to the list. Apparently, Huntsville and Mobile are on the list, but not Tuscaloosa/Birmingham?
I just thought about something. If Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake were to air on cable TV, would it air on Cartoon Network or Adult Swim? I say this because the original Adventure Time is currently airing on CN, but Fionna and Cake seems more mature than the original series.
CN actually DID have Dexter and Cow and Chicken on Netflix back in 2013, but they were removed in 2015 due to CN not renewing their deal with Netflix. Dexter eventually ended up on Hulu, while Cow and Chicken hasn’t been available to stream anywhere since.
Hmm... that's a good question. I doubt they'll be allowed back on Boomerang, and MeTV Toons seems to show interest in acquiring them. Max isn't exactly a good place to have them either.
Honestly, [adult swim] has dropped the ball on Checkered Past. Given its' current state, I can't imagine it...
So now that MeTV Toons exists, what is the future of Boomerang? I say this because MeTV Toons will obviously be getting the WB/MGM/HB cartoons. And as for the classic CN shows, they're on Checkered Past. Even stuff like The Looney Tunes Show, The Tom and Jerry Show, and Scooby-Doo and Guess Who...
Boomerang gets a special lineup for MultiVersus on May 28th
6am-8pm- Normal lineup
8:00p - Looney Tunes
9:00p - Duck Dodgers
10:00p - Taz-Mania
11:00p - Scooby and Guess Who
12:00a - Scooby & Batman: The Brave and the Bold
1:30a - Teen Titans Go
3:00a - Adventure Time
4:00a - Steven Universe...
Those all sound like really great ideas for blocks! MeTV is known for having their lineup categorized by blocks, such as Most Wanted Westerns, Super Sci-Fi Saturdays, etc. Boomerang in its' prime did that too with Boomeraction, Boomerang Zoo, Those Meddling Kids, etc.
Regarding MeTV Toons, do you think one day that they’ll start airing shows from the 2010’s? Stuff like The Looney Tunes Show or Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated?
I just thought about something. Let's say, hypothetically, Adult Swim cancels Checkered Past. What do you think would happen to the classic CN shows on the block?
That's what I've been trying to say! The name "Adult Swim" doesn't fit with the recent direction WBD has been taking it! They'd be better off calling it something like "Cartoon Network After Dark" or something! Stuff like Unicorn, Superman, Checkered Past, Invincible Fight Girl, and now Toonami...
My opinion is, as I stated before in another thread, the entire channel should just be called CN at this point. Having stuff like Unicorn, Superman, and Invincible Fight Girl on [as] really makes me think that the whole thing should be CN except for maybe a little block from midnight to about...
I did not know that. I do remember that GameStop used to have a spin-off store chain called MovieStop, but that closed in 2016. So, in a way, this is almost like a return of MovieStop.
Just learned that GAMESTOP and FRED MEYER are now going to be selling DVDs, Blu-rays, and even 4K UHD Blu-rays. This comes in the wake of Best Buy removing ALL DVDs and Blu-rays, as well as Target and FYE shrinking down their offerings...
My honest opinion, they should just make the WHOLE thing Cartoon Network again. Maybe if they want to keep [as] around, make it air 11pm-5am Mon-Thu + Sunday. then don't have any [as] Friday or Saturday except for some Toonami on Saturdays.
So I’ve just learned that Warner Bros. now finally has a FAST channel dedicated to their animated content. The only thing is that they (so far) are only showing Silverhawks and the Mr. T cartoon.
The fact that Max basically knew they had new episodes of Jellystone and Tiny Toons Looniversity premiering, but did virtually nothing to promote them kinda makes me concerned for how animation will be handled at Max going forward.
I understand. I'm like that too. I'm autistic, and I worry a lot about messing things up. I worry that I'll end up saying or doing something that might make someone hate me.
Yeah, I kinda felt the same way too. I mean, as cool as it was to hear George Lowe as Space Ghost again, you can tell that the years have caught up to him. Paul F. Tompkins (who voices Magilla Gorilla on this show) DID voice Space Ghost in a Season 2 cameo, so maybe they could’ve used him. But...
As we all know, the NickRewind block was cancelled in 2022. But I personally believe it could (potentially) come back.
My idea would be to bring it back as part of Nick at Nite as opposed to TeenNick. Kinda like how Checkered Past airs on [adult swim]. Have it run from maybe 9-11pm weekdays...
