I look at TMNT and Transformers, and they actually keep a lot of the basics of the original series the same, and change things without needing to drastically overhaul them, so this comparison doesn't work, because if anything those series prove you can make a new iteration of something and keep the base elements of it while making changes, and then you bring up the 2002 cartoon except that was heavily praised and largely failed due to mismanagement from CN and Mattel not because there is anything wrong with the series itself.Perhaps but it's not 1983 anymore, the tastes of kids today are not the same as 1983.
Look at how wildly different the various TMNT and Transformers cartoons are. Really they tried to make a He-Man cartoon that was an updated version of the Flimation series in 2002, it went off the air after 2 seasons. I liked it, but it wasn't a hit with kids back then. I can see why Mattel would want to see what is popular with kids today and copy de lessons for this cartoon.
Really all you're doing is saying that what they're doing with this show is pandering towards what think kinds like, and fail how pandering is ever supposed to be good.
