  • Nick wants to kill off all their non-Paw Patrol shows by moving their premieres to the Nick Jr. channel, because of that Every Paw Patrol Ever event in October! They are fricking dumb!

@kanc because Blaze and the Monster Machines is high rated show and Nickelodeon isn't going to remove until rating drops enough to be delisted from Nick Jr's lineup.

The lack of new episodes or haven't announce about new season aren't reason to be delisted, so it is all about rating.

with Blaze announced for season 8 recently, also remember i complained Blaze was still airing reruns on NickJr block? now it turns out to be true, as Blaze reruns were off NickJr block as of started earlier this week. It will still be shown on NickJr channel

I careless for Paw Patrol. No offense!
What do you think would be a good name for a combined Paramount+/Peacock streaming service? (It should include the Showtime streamer as well.)
How about this: Sony buys 20th Century and its IP, then Disney acquires all of Sony Pictures' IP (except for the Japanese ones), allowing Disney to resurrect Columbia Pictures and TriStar Pictures as their non-family/Marvel/Lucasfilm units (standard for Columbia, indie/art house for TriStar), although they could use different names.
Because of their small size, I think Paramount Global and Comcast should merge their streaming services (Paramount+, Showtime Stream, and Peacock) into one. It would be called "All-Access".
If Disney were to sell 20th Century Studios, they could just keep the rights to the Ice Age, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Night at the Museum, and the TCS/Marvel films, since the former three have Disney-produced sequels/spin-offs/reboots.
I think Nickelodeon and Disney Channel should follow Cartoon Network's footsteps and make PG-rated shows (live action shows and cartoons).

Well, The Proud Family: Louder And Prouder and the non-Lego Star Wars animated projects on Disney Plus are rated PG (for the former, it's the first time a Disney Television Animation show got that rating).

I'd be OK with mature content as long as it's not just a bunch of gratuitous shock jokes. I'd rather watch a kids' show with some adult jokes than a "mature" show that's just a lot of locker room humor and trying to be edgy.

I can't speak for Nickelodeon, but Disney does produce adult content. They just don't use the Disney name for those productions. Rather, they use one of their pseudonyms like Touchtone Pictures or Hollywood Pictures.

I think Nickelodeon should have their toy-driven/reboots of classic SatAM shows like Monster High, The Smurfs, Garfield, Transformers EarthSpark, etc. be on Saturday mornings for episode premieres! This idea would help with the waits for other Nick cartoons, and would at least bring back the good ol' Saturday morning cartoon tradition!

So sorta like KOL Secret Slumber Party/KEWLopolis/Cookie Jar TV, but on Nickelodeon, eh?
Here’s an idea that I think Netflix should do: Partner with another major studio or two for film distribution. Said major studio would have the theatrical and physical media distribution rights, while Netflix would have the streaming distribution rights.

That's an interesting idea for Netflix's more 'prestigious' films. Which studio would be the distributor? I think Sony is the only major studio without a streaming service.

Either Universal or Warner Bros could be another one of the two studios that would distribute Netflix’s films in theatres. A mini-major, basically Lionsgate, could join in too.

not until netflix gives apologies to blockbuster
I’m worried that the other streamers will decline on taking in Batman: Caped Crusader, the Gumball movie, and the other "originally planned for HBO Max" projects, leading to WBD giving up and scrapping them.
With all the negative PR, especially that lawsuit, lately, are the board of directors and shareholders of WBD upset with David Zaslav?

For shareholders, yes and I don't know about board of directors.

@LinusFan303 begs differently about related to Phone Company - see his post in WBD acquisition thread.

I think it's more so AT&T since this was from when the company was called WarnerMedia.
I'm worried that the Animation Guild will fail to negotiate that new union contract with the IATSE, making that "#NewDeal4Animation" movement all for nothing.

Another worry of mine is that animators may be blacklisted (just like Micah Wright, even though Wright was only the creator) for causing so much "trouble".
Looks like Rolie Polie Olie is coming back, according to creator William Joyce! Do Nelvana and/or Disney know about this?
I'm surprised that Nick is proceeding to air the upcoming It's Pony episode "Sick Annie" as planned, despite what's going on in the world.

"Animation is cinema"... until it is an animated movie that doesn't appeal to me.

Yeah some people on Twitter annoy me with that "Animation is cinema" slogan.
Happy 25th anniversary to ITV2 as the channel began broadcasting on this day in 1998.
I have officially turned 27.
I’m sorry, but I still can’t let go of Wish not doing well at the box office. It‘s making legs a little bit, but it’s hopeless. I hope it does better on DisneyPlus like Encanto did.
Today marks the 21st Year Anniversary of (the "formal" premiere of) Codename: Kids Next Door. This series is one of (if not) my favorite Cartoon Network show(s) and I remain hopeful that Tom Warburton's wish for the sequel series to eventually see the light of day becomes a reality.
