International Disney Networks Thread Part 9

There's not much continuity with this video, but it's nevertheless good because it introduces the premiere of High School Musical in September 2006. There used to be much more continuities leading to that (all the afternoon) with High School Musical celebrities being in London etc. , but it's...

According to some sources, we'll have to wait until March 2022 for a full rebrand. BBC Four will get a new look on today, the only channel to do so

Boomerang International News and Discussion Thread 3.0

I'll say something controversial: but Boomerang Playground should be nothing to be afraid of, if scheduled at certain non-peak times, like weekday mornings/early afternoons.. I'd go as far as saying a rebrand of the block to Cartoonito wouldn't be too bad either

Going to the BBC, it seems BBC One won't be rebranded in time for the new BBC branding on Wednesday, mostly because the idents are deemed to be too London-centric, only because they were filmed in London and surrounding areas.. stupid decision from the Nations, which don't like that. I don't...

    Your Thoughts on Pepper Ann

Mostly good memories, as a child Strangely enough, it's on Disney+ Italy, but not all the episodes

Sky Glass BTW has launched. As expected, the channel list looks slightly different compared to "normal" Sky, since Glass has no satellite limitation, similar to satellite Sky Q "senza parabola" (dishless) in Italy. Some channels (mostly Sky secondary ones and 5Star and 5USA)are in HD. I still...

Speaking of Discovery, Discovery Scandinavia (although I think Finland just gets the same, so it's Nordic) has promo opt outs in addition to ad opt out, as I mentioned earlier, including even completely different on screen graphics (translated into different languages). However, it's strange...

100 Disney networks will close down in 2021

Jetix probably only existed as a temporary measure between Fox Kids being bought by Disney and Disney trying to completely get hold of that, especially outside of the US.. why they should bring it back?

If you ask me, it's a shame both don't exist anymore, especially Animal Planet, which has hardly been treated fairly :(

The channel (not just in Scandinavia) is in shambles, these days.

@J10 don't forget about TLC Germany, that's also FTA (as HGTV Germany) Italy has no TLC, but it has a quite strong "older" brand that works just as the same thing: Real Time (under paywall it was Discovery Real Time), quite well known for its reality shows and the likes. Rebranding it to TLC...

All the DC EMEA feeds run by London (CEE, Greece, MENA, SSA etc.) are run as cheaply as possible, they always have been, so do not expect much to change, especially with Disney+

Why it shouldn't? It's the BBC which is changing, not exactly a small neglected company.. maybe not on the same day, but it's coming.
