  • One thing you can expect in a lot of Indie/Arthouse movies, a lot of them don't have happy endings. Thank god for A24, NEON, Bleeker Street, IFC, and Magnoila.
Visiting a mall nowadays is like visiting someone on life support.

It's almost like malls were just a meme. Everyone's better off without those churches that praise money and man. Have you read Hosea 8:4?

It's not as if they've been replaced by anything more spiritually or morally fulfilling though, chiefly websites (to some extent ONE website) that merely provide a narrower passage for the money. At least malls have\had a social element.

But this is that mall that I've been to.
do people still listen to Nu Metal? Did it kind of kill mainstream rock?

I thought that post grunge was the nail in the coffin that banished guitar based rock music from the Billboard Hot 100. Never was that big into Nu metal or rap metal in general, but there are people nostalgic for it.

There's a "alternative" club in my city that was still playing this stuff when I was going there about 5 years ago.

It was never my scene but it does have some nostalgia value for me and I have enjoyed a few episodes of this Nu-Metal Podcast

Well, I think Limp Bizkit's album Results May Vary was responsible for derailing nu metal's popularity as like @PicardMan said, the overexposure of post-grunge was responsible for relegating the genre (barring pop rock) into rock radio territory in the early 2010s.

In an alternate reality, this woman would be screaming in terror that a stop motion kid came out of the packaging of a Play Doh can

Haven't seen a manga turned anime that became so hyped up
in a long time. As someone who's read this, it definitely will be a blast.

Now let's hope this anime gets a premiere on the [adult swim] Toonami block.
Honestly Clerks the animated series might've worked better on Fox than ABC. Or heck The WB or UPN but it probably would've had the same fate

Hey Ghoster1987, According to the commentary for the series premiere episode, Smith and Mosier first had the idea of the animated series in 1995. In that same commentary, Mosier claimed that they were given a thirteen-episode order from UPN, but turned down the offer in order to be on a bigger channel like ABC, having been told that UPN would be off the air within a year.

Something about places that were once former red roof Pizza Huts just fascinates me.

there's like a weird artform to it.

what happened to Nostalgialodeon twitter user? Now it shows as twitter account doesn't exist

Bella/Big from Polly Pocket reminds me of Big Barda from DC Superhero Girls 2015, being a physically strong character who's initially antagonistic before becoming a friend to the main characters, and showing a softer side. Rhona Rees even seems to channel a voice similar to Misty Lee. I know Shea Fontana developed both shows, but still.

I’m hoping the first Madagascar movie finally airs on Nickelodeon this year. They’ve only played the sequels so far.
