Rare occasions of voice actors onscreen in a live action role.

Susan Blu plays the heroine's mother in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. It also features someone called Jeff Bennett, although there's some debate if it's the voice actor or a guy who mostly does plays. Although it is on his IMDB, I don't think it is him. Not on screen but related; Tom...

Unconventional or unpopular opinions you have (re: animation)

I kind of like PhantomStrider's videos and he seems like a really nice guy, but he does seem to pander to the algorithm a bit; hasn't he made like 3 or 4 "Worst Peppa Pig episodes" videos? I would respect that a little more if he used them to leverage less popular stuff he's passionate about...

The 2003 Astro Boy had a fairly prominent run on the BBC in the UK. I don't know how popular it was though, there was never a DVD release of it here or anything as best I can tell. The 2009 film did a little better here than it did in America too. I have the Region 1 DVD set for that series...

Why is that not many animation shows for teens?

If you were to drill into the statistics I wouldn't be surprised if a large section, perhaps even a majority, of viewers for Adult cartoons like Rick and Morty are actually in their teens. And some adult cartoons like Big Mouth arguably might be aimed at teens more than adults. Some teens...

Was Count Duckula the first Nicktoon?

Duckula was actually a transatlantic co-production funded by both Thames in the UK and Nickelodeon in the US, and was in fact commissioned by Geraldine Layborne who took a liking to a model sheet she saw of the original Duckula from Danger Mouse, so Nickelodeon were involved from a production...

Definitely at one point within the last decade or so Tim Burton was going to make a stop-motion Addams movie.

I think the designs in the new films are fine, it's the generic, out of character humour that hold the films back.

It's not as if they've been replaced by anything more spiritually or morally fulfilling though, chiefly websites (to some extent ONE website) that merely provide a narrower passage for the money. At least malls have\had a social element.

There are two malls in my city. One seems to still be doing well, the other still struggling although it is clearly putting in a real effort.

    "Sammy" Discussion

I thought that was a pretty funny episode, I can see why the Network went with that ahead of earlier episodes. The 7th episode has also been uploaded.

There's a "alternative" club in my city that was still playing this stuff when I was going there about 5 years ago. It was never my scene but it does have some nostalgia value for me and I have enjoyed a few episodes of this Nu-Metal Podcast https://thepodkast.libsyn.com/

I never particularly saw Cow and Chicken as a Ren & Stimpy clone, but I do recall finding one joke from the What a Cartoon pilot so gross that it gave me a visceral dislike of the show and its world, and while I can see it had some wit and creativity I never quite got past that initial impression.
