Why does Disney Channel Still Exist?

You know ever since Disney+ i have been needing to ask why does the Disney channel still exist if they are being shut down internationally. Disney plus offers and entire library off their content and there no reason for its existence so tell me why does the Disney channel still and why isn’t their shows coming to Disney plus much quicker?

The US is a market that can sustain linear TV at a more significant level. The country's broadband internet penetration significantly lags behind its peers in the developed world (going into that would turn the thread into a policy discussion). There are rumors that the Disney channels will die after their current carriage agreements, but that is doubtful.
