Boomerang International News and Discussion Thread 3.0

They’ve actually started showing Ben 10 quite recently. Although it’s already leaving because of Mr Bean.

Cartoon Network International News Thread 10.0

This actually seems to be starting from tomorrow. I really hope this temporary, this has to be one of the worst international schedules ever. Given that it starts on the first day of October rather than the start of next week, this could be a month long event.

    General International TV Channels Thread

I’m not so sure about that, Farage’s show has done well against the BBC and Sky, but outside of that it’s still got some way to go, especially in the daytime, though it has improved from launch. I feel the upcoming changes with new shows like On the Money could strengthen them further.

Thankfully they only do that when the schools are off, normally there’s a few other shows on like Masha and the Bear and Thomas & Friends, though it’s still not a great schedule. Same thing goes for the TTG marathons.

    General International TV Channels Thread

I remember that Comedy Central UK once showed Oliver! of all things. On the non-movies front, they were recently showing Baywatch and The A-Team alongside their daily Friends marathon, though they aren’t on at the moment and they’ve gone back to sitcoms.

    International Nickelodeon thread part 11

From Monday 26th, Nicktoons UK is adding Avatar reruns at 7pm. Must be the first time it’s had a non-graveyard slot for years.

    General International TV Channels Thread

Here in the UK, they only show it after midnight (and some of those airings are new episodes!) The closest thing they have to it is Catfish, which gets shown a lot in the afternoon. Still not a good channel though, the only worthwhile show they have is Daria reruns. I’ve also seen them air...

My predictions as a wannabe media mogul between 2021-2040

Wow, what an amazing plan Paul, I’m sure it will be the success story of the century. Just one problem, how will the Republic of Ireland rejoin Britain?

Will Challenge TV in the UK follow the Boomerang USA model by focusing on streaming?

Challenge TV in the UK has performed poorly since around 2015/2016, with its only successful show being The Chase. It has also received less attention in recent times, with almost no original commissions since 2016, it’s +1 channel being closed down, it’s social media feeds and website being cut...

Will TCC be revived as a streaming service?

TCC was one of the earliest kids’ channels in Europe during the 80s and 90s, unfortunately it closed down due to the newer channels like Nickelodeon. However, the name could be used for a new streaming service exclusively featuring old and new kids’ shows and films. Disney content won’t be...

Will Nickelodeon and CITV in the UK merge?

The failing Nickelodeon channel in the UK, which no longer makes its own shows and relies on US shows, could improve its fortunes by merging with the more successful CITV to create INK (ITV Nickelodeon Kids), a channel that nearly launched in 2005 but was later cancelled. Sky will have to sell...

TV Shows You Want To Revive

One show I would like to revive would be the late night phone in quiz show Quizmania, which aired on ITV in 2006. It would be presented by some of the original hosts like Greg Scott and Chuck Thomas, as well as new hosts.
