Cartoon Network International News Thread 14.0

The only change during the "block" is a logo with the Baby Bears on the left, but they are absent from the RSEE schedule. There are no special bumpers. Also in Bulgaria, the channel from yesterday is broadcast only a couple of frames per second, it's literally unwatchable right now.

When do you think David Zaslav will step down?

Netflix is not removing the shows! He's not trying the same things as Netflix at all. Discovery is worse.

HBO Max 're-examining' presence of children's programming

The movies are rotating for sure, but this is probably part of the purge that happens to Cartoon Network Studios shows. And don't even try to say that removing the Infinity Train soundtracks means going to Disney Plus. I'm not buying it. And Zaslav doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Cartoon Network shows pulled from HBO Max

"Infinity Train" was not popular enough for you? The show that, at some point, was in the Top 5 shows AS A WHOLE, not just animated? Close Enough was there as well. By the way, Infinity Train also had an official Art Exhibition, because of its popularity. And it's not just the US. In Bulgaria...

Of course they will be, they've been airing on Boomerang as well as the first seasons of Tom and Jerry in New York back in the days before Russia invaded Ukraine.

The lack of the Care Bears show in the promo makes me think that they have fallen victim to the write-off of Warner Bros. Discovery.

"The Flash (2014 TV Series)" News & Discussion Part Two (Spoilers)

The writers wasted Flashpoint, so Henry's death wasn't even worth it from that perspective. The only actual change in the show's status quo moving forward, aside from Barry and Joe having fewer father-son relationship moments now, is the Killer Frost problem. But the show also retconned that in...

Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends Reboot (Hanna Barbera Studios)

People on Foster's team worked on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Lauren Faust, Amy Keating Rogers, Meghan McCarthy and Cindy Morrow. That show was universal enough. I think we're in good hands.

Unconventional or unpopular opinions you have (re: animation)

There was a villain song in the film - " We Don't Talk About Bruno". Think about it. It describes the whole problem that the family is unwittingly about to dump on Mirabelle later in the film: they accuse her of breaking the illusion that everything is perfect. The twist of the movie isn't that...

"Summer Camp Island" News and Discussion Thread

In the schedule for Cartoon Network RSEE for August, the Summer Camp Island episodes, which HBO Max has postponed for 2023, are available. I wouldn't be surprised if they delay them when CN's time comes too, but it's surprising that they were planning to release them two months after the USA...

Cartoon Network International News Thread 12.0

As of today The Fungies is gone from RSEE as well and replaced with The Tom & Jerry Show, so now T&J is airing almost 2 hours in a row. Ugh. I don't think that the show is banned, rather it was probably written off. What we want for the schedule is irrelevant to them, and as for putting on...

Cartoon Network International News Thread 12.0

And every movie that was part of the summer CN Cinema block last year was then put on HBO Max. I believe that the marathons of the Boomerang and stuff like Cloudy are somewhat intended to promote the shows on the platform - to show that they are part of the CN hub on HBO Max.

Cartoon Network International News Thread 12.0

If homosexuality was the reason - CN RSEE would have been the first CEE channel to ban the show. But instead, they have aired episodes today both this morning and afternoon. Probably because they're going to put the show on HBO Max in the near future. They are already preparing its localization...

How is that a bait and switch? In his video, he said something along the lines that he was going to use some of the ideas he had for Final Space, but couldn't in Final Space itself because Warner still owns the show and doesn't want to continue it. And now the only possible thing is doing some...

Cartoon Network International News Thread 12.0

I thought the problems on CEE were similar, but I can speak for sure about RSEE. Having a show that isn't from Boomerang or TTG, Gumball, Ben 10 or Bakugan (which has new episodes every 3-4 months, that's I guess why it stays on) disappear from the schedule after at most two months is perfectly...

"Young Justice: Phantoms" Season Four Talkback, Part II (Spoilers)

At least Wally had some irony: he wanted to avoid heroics so he and Artemis could be kept safe, and he died the moment he returned to them for a bit. But Artemis's reaction is perhaps the thing that kinda wasn't justified: wouldn't she be even more against doing this now, since it was heroics...

A Timeline of the Tom Ascheim Era

Jade Armor is an acquired series. It's probably more up to CN Europe's decision on whether the series should be canceled rather than actual success in the US, where I don't think it will be much advertised or part of the brand, as has happened with other ordered for CN Europe productions like...

Cartoon Network International News Thread 12.0

Looks like a fake to me. And not just because RSEE is still using 4.0 branding for the Gumball NEXT bumper. The audio is definitely taken from a previous NEXT bumper, that's why it's so quiet. In general, I doubt they would continue to adapt the 3.0 NEXT bumpers after the RDYW rebrand, and even...
