To me, it's nice to see the complete series like this getting released on DVD. Back in 90s and 2000s when cartoons were put on VHS or DVD, it was mostly a handful of episodes, not a full collection.
5/15: The short answer: Yes, the tentative release is in winter 2022.Is Batman: The Long Halloween going to be stitch together into one deluxe movie like Batman :The Dark Knight Returns was?
5/15: The short answer: Yes, the tentative release is in winter 2022.
The long answer: It was confirmed in a press release for Batman: The Long Halloween Part One on April 8, 2021. The line read, "Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One will be available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack at a later date in 2022 as a combined presentation of the film with Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two." Then on October 16, 2021, it was stated, "In fall 2022 DC will release its first-ever fully CG animated movie Battle of the Super Sons. And in the winter a complete edition of Batman: The Long Halloween will be released in 4K."
7/1: @James Harvey noticed a[/bold] retail site lists the Batman: The Long Halloween Deluxe Edition for September 20, 2022.
No, it will be 4k/Blu-ray/Digital. See WF's article for more info.Is this deluxe edition only 4k? Doesn't make sense.
Well, we do know Static Shock has already been remastered in HD since it's on HBOMax in 1080p. So the blu ray release of that is inevitable. It appears Warner Bros will be releasing a Blu-Ray of Filmation's 1968 animated series The Adventures of Batman:
I mean, I would have preferred Static Shock or Justice League Action first, but I guess Batman sells.
Yep. And The Zeta Project!I just want a Static Shock Blu-Ray release.
Man, this has been a long time coming. It appears Warner Bros will be releasing a Blu-Ray of Filmation's 1968 animated series The Adventures of Batman:

That would only be plausible if HD masters of both shows existed. I'm not sure they do (both were done digitally and mastered in videotape; unless the digital files still exist and can be re-rendered in HD a la Justice League they will forever be relegated to standard def).I'm really hoping both Static and Zeta get full series Blu Ray releases this year.
Well HBOMax has Static in HD, so I assume that series is ready to go on disc. That would only be plausible if HD masters of both shows existed. It's a very obvious upscale from the SD masters.Well HBOMax has Static in HD, so I assume that series is ready to go on disc.
What makes it obvious to you? It's a very obvious upscale from the SD masters.
