Yesterday, Sudanese PM has been terminated from his job by the Transitional President, Abdelfatah Al-Burhan, and also arrested by Sudanese military forces and Sudanese Police. He made a speech about terminating the PM job, but the Transitional President said Hamadok is NOT arrested and he is guest with him.

On the next day, Sudan TV restored the old-fashioned blue DOG on the channel, and Sudan HD Channel has been stopped due to Arabsat frequency being Off-Air yesterday, in the morning, at around 9:30-10:00 AM (GMT+2)
Few weeks ago, Sudan HD was launched under trial and is being tested, but the DOG isn’t existed yet. Today, the logo has appeared, and it’s fully in white, unlike their SD Version, which is opaque.

Sudan SD Channel is now unified its DOG with the HD Channel, and the ticker has changed.

Here we go again, from this short-lived new, white DOG.

Al-Jazeera is going to relaunch soon, as its main studio is having engineering works for the relaunch.

Also, Canal+ Ethiopia has launched an Ethiopian Version of Canal+ Action, and also launched 12 New Channels incl. Al-Jazeera English, JimJam, 3 FilmBox Channels (FilmBox Africa, FilmBox Family, and FilmBox Action), W Sport, Trace Urban, Trace Muzika, Mezzo Live HD, Wild Earth, and CBS Reality. In the website, they're using the French-speaking (Francophone Africa; Canal+ Afrique) Canal+ Action logo, instead of the Ethiopian logo.

Wait a min... Canal+ Afrique is already rebranding both Canal+ and Canal+ Comedie into Canal+ Premiere and Canal+ Pop since September 30th.

Meanwhile in France, Canal+ is already planning to launch a another movie channel "Canal+ Grand Écran" as it was rumored to be launched this year or 2022.

Pluto TV’s line-up for kids include SpongeBob SquarePants, The Thundermans, iCarly, Ninja Hattori and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Discovery has announced Anil Jhingan as its new President and Managing Director of Asia Pacific from 1 November. The current regional head Simon Robinson steps away from the APAC business to help with the WarnerMedia merger.

In France, the Conseil supérieur de l’audiovisuel (CSA) and Haute autorité pour la diffusion des œuvres et la protection des droits sur internet (HADOPI) will become a single entity known as the Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuelle et numérique (Arcom) from 1st January 2022.

Yes, of course…

But I was mentioning about Canal+ Action in Ethiopia, and it’s a different topic. I was realizing that they’re not putting the Ethiopian logo in their website, and puts the one written in English/French as the word “Action”. That’s Canal+ mistake for their Ethiopian website. Here’s comparison.

Also, Azam TV is launching soon in Zimbabwe, after failure of Kweese TV, due to country’s crisis.

Today is last day of M-Net City and Vuzu in South Africa
Clear sign that streaming is killing cable and in other news. It looks like MultiChoice and StarTimes will dwell onto Bollywood to fill the gap these streaming services will inflict on cable.

Tomorrow is the last day there's still a schedule on the 29th

Disney is selling its majority interests in Fox Telecolombia and Estudios TeleMexico to ViacomCBS. Obviously they want to focus on their wholly owned Disney/Fox Latin American properties (no Telecolombia material on D+/Star+ in the Latin American feeds, from what I've heard).

Disney is really dropping and closing anything useless in their eyes.
How long before they drop their stake in A+E Networks? AFAIK, they still have half of it outside Europe, no? Even if the same Disney pretends it doesn't exist, afaik, there wasn't trace of that on The Walt Disney Company corporate website. Granted, I vistied that stuff early on last year, but, still.

Their corporate website usually only showcases everything they wholly own or own a large majority of. Disney only owned 51% of Telecolombia/Estudios TeleMexico with the family that founded them, so a sale was likely in the offing for quite some time.

As far as A&E Networks/Vice is concerned, they'll only sell the stake if they find the right price for it or no longer see any value in it. Bear in mind that as a 50/50 venture, A&E Networks has its own management and business with Disney having zero say in operations.

Hm, then I can see why they got out of the Telecolombia joint venture.

For the A&E, tbh, I don't even know what would happen if Disney sells its stake.
Someone else gets it (In that case, I only can see NBCUniversal catching that back)? Hearst keeps all for themselves like they do in big part of Europe (In UK it's a joint venture with Sky and they sold a bunch of months ago their share in the Iberian operations, as it was a joint venture with AMC Networks)?
Who knows.

So apparently the Zee One brand is being reactivated, this time in Africa.

There used to be a FTA channel owned by them using that name targeting the German market that shut down in 2019. It mainly broadcast Bollywood movies and Zee TV saas-bahus dubbed in German and at closing time was re-evaluating the future of the brand.

The description of the channel remains the same through several adverts but I have a feeling this version will either be a repeats channel to English dubbed Zee World on DStv or a direct rival to the brand. Either way I doubt this version will be German.

I thought the channel died in Germany and will never come back.

Paul Fadel has said it’s not right that beIN lost the right. More details soon!!
The NBA matches are coming back to beIN SPORTS MENA, and there was issues from NBA, including the broadcasting schedule.

Fox Telecolumbia and Estudios TeleMexico will join Telefe and Chilevision at ViacomCBS LATAM.
