Is it hard to believe we're nearly three years into the 2020s?

We're almost three years into this decade. I find it hard to believe. Time flies. Doesn't it?

2021 is the second year of the 2020s decade under the 0-9 definition.

But under the 1-0 definition, it is the first year of the 203rd decade (also known as the third decade of the 21st century, but "203rd decade" is less of a mouthful), which will run from 2021-30.

Kind of the like the last year of a century has a different first two digits than the first 99 years of the century, the 10th year of a 1-0 decade has a different tens digit than the first 9 years of such a decade.

We're "nearly into the start of the 3rd year of the 2020's". That'd be a better title.

It's still the early 2020's and doesn't feel like the decade has truly started yet. The "Early 2020's" would be 2020 to 2022, the "Mid 2020's" would be 2023 to 2026, and the "Late 2020's" would be 2027 to 2029, but that's just how I divide up the decades.

Yeah, I cant really think of any big cultural shift (besides stuff we're not allowed to talk about on this board) that's happened this decade. It almost seems like a continuation of the 2010s (and the decade pretty much starting on a dismal note with Covid didnt help matters).
