So far, I've added a couple more movies to my collection:

-To Have and Have Not (Bogie and Bacall's first film together, the one that made them one of classic Hollywood's top couples, and possibly their best movie)
-Stalag 17 (one of Billy Wilder's best, perhaps. Surprised I haven't picked this up yet)
-Thelma & Louise (so this is actually new to me, but I've been told that the script is an all-timer, so why not give it a shot?)

A local book shop received a few Criterions, and they had some tempting titles, including Wes Anderson's earlier films, some of which I had on DVD somewhere but never upgraded. Still, I talked myself into getting just one title- The 39 Steps, possibly Hitchcock's best British production?

One last splurge, and it's my only personal Criterion buy of the year- the Wong Kar-wai set. So many good movies in here.

I just want to say that I totally called it that Diamond White could voice Moon Girl 3 years in advance.

Today i learned that David Cronenberg (The Fly, Scanners) has a son who’s also a director and i saw a very psychedelic arthouse film made by him called Infinity Pool. I hope he becomes a more high profile director some day.

I wouldn’t recommend it to people who don’t watch arthouse movies though. It’s also very adult-oriented if you know what i mean
Update on the M&M's situation. He has reliable sources in this video.
