Come dream with me tonight
Let’s go to far out places
And search for treasures bright
Come dream with me tonight
Let’s build a giant airship
And sail into the sky
Let’s watch the ground so far below
Let’s watch the birds as they fly by
Fly so high
Come dream with me tonight!
*This is an extended version of the theme used in the Teddy Ruxpin stories that are used with the toy. This version comes from “The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin”, but don’t be confused by the “tonight” in the song. It was usually seen either in the mornings or afternoons depending on who was showing it.
EDIT (1-28-24):
George! George! George of the Jungle
Strong as he can be!
(George’s Tarzan yell)
Watch out for that tree!
George! George! George of the Jungle
Lives a life that’s free!
(George’s Tarzan yell)
Watch out for that tree!
When he gets in a scrape, he makes his escape with the help of his friend, an ape named Ape!
And away he’ll schlep on his elephant Shep while “Fella” and Ursula stay in step, with…
George! George! George of the Jungle
Friend to you and me!
(George’s Tarzan yell)
Watch out for that tree!
Watch out for that…
(George’s Tarzan yell)
[CRASH!] (Ooh!) TREE!!
George! George! George of the Jungle
Friend to you and me!!
*The version for the segment (which starts with the “bullseye”) is similar, but is a little faster, leaves out second verse, and simply ends with the third verse which ends with “Watch out for that tree!”. Oh yeah, and as most people know, there is no “Fella”, it’s just a running gag where he keeps calling his wife “Fella” instead of “Ursula”, which is her actual name.
