The good news is that Kristen Bell is in a movie. The bad news is everything else. They ran the full trailer during a Veronica Mars episode, and it was trying reeeeal hard to be scary, but it failed.
The concept is that dead people have been trying to break into the living world, and our new technology has finally given them a gateway. Which is SCAAAARY! Because they are DEEEEEAD!
Right?
Hey. If I were a zombie stuck in a dingy depressing netherworld and I found a way to get back to Earth, why wouldn't I take advantage of that? I mean, who wants to be THERE? What are the film characters so afraid of? It's not like every dead guy is going to be a psycho criminal. I say, let 'em out. Don't forget it'll be the film characters themselves that'll be stuck there in a hundred years....
See; I just ruined the whole plot by asking that question. What I don't understand most is that this is another adaption of a Japanese horror film, and Japanese horror tends to be scarier than this.
