Welcome to the thread where you can discuss why do you miss your favorite, retired ident sets, even closed channels too.
Here is my long list.

RTL Klub: either 2005-2008 or 2008-2017. For the former, that was the first ident set I saw from that channel. The eye is cute. And for the latter, the letters flying or falling were so realistic in the photos that they were even shown during the 2008 national horse race just before the idents' debut.
TV2 (HUN): either 2007-2008 or January-August 2011. For the former, that was the best set because of the age ratings (the symbols were made in real life in addition to people who were around that age) and the idents which had billboards. And for the latter, the 2 as a core symbol had a transparent effect behind slow timelapses.
MTVA channels: I will miss the landart idents (since 2012) soon as they were the only good idents from that era. For M1-M2, I miss 2004-2006 the most because that one had a minimalist animation (the middle stripe formed from moving rectangles), and for Duna TV, I miss 2004-2005 because it had waves, similar to the 2009-2012 set.
ATV (HUN): the 1st half of 2006 set was when I saw the channel for the 1st time. Sadly, this set doesn't have any videos, only three screenshots.
AXN: 2006-2011 because of the colors and the animations, and even the ad-break idents featuring various household products creating the logo.
BBC Prime: 2000-2006 as that was the set I grew up as a 4-year-old kid. Those looked like a kids channel's idents.
Cartoon Network: either City or Arrow, as these were the most nostalgic ident sets I grew up as a 6-9 year old kid.
Cool: 2010-2014. It had a realistic city with red balls bouncing around them, and even the logo was formed with two balls, with one of them located at a skyscraper as if that was the HQ of the channel.
Discovery Channel: either 2001-2004 or 2006-2009. For the former, it had calming sound effects set under water or gas and even the logo was created from them. For the latter, this was the set I saw when I watched How It's Made, despite its minimalism with just the globe or the full logo on a blue, white or black background, along with the blue text.
Echo TV: 2017-2019. Although this had cold colors (white and blue), the ECHO logo had a lot of parts which were then merge into one.
HBO: 2005-2010. This set had a very great feel of a movie channel, as glass rectangles were joined like filmstrips with some of them having the HBO logo projected inside.
Investigation Discovery: 2017-2020. This one had a better feel than the current one, as it had crime scenes with the glass ID logo appearing in the end and the mysterious music.
Jetix: 2005-2007. J is a cute character who morphs into different creatures and things, and travelling around a blue city, finishing with the logo.

Ahhh, the famous HBO FEATURE PRESENTATION logo from 1983 to 1999 back when HBO was a powerhouse in entertainment…

I really missed the pre-2000 era of CBS as they didn’t have many IPs that were from Paramount TV at that time. The CBS we may know is the CBS from 2006-present.

If you don't know what is the 2005-2010 ident pack I refer in the case of HBO, here it is.

I also miss these ident packs
HBO Comedy CE's idents from 2007-2013. This was mostly based on HBO CE's ident pack from 2005-2010, but the main idents had a nice, charming feel, with transparent marbles forming the HBO part of the logo. These were followed in 2011 by a new pack which have bubbles forming the HBO logo.

Hallmark Channel Europe 2002-2006. This had a variety of idents centering on the black-orange-yellow-brown color palette.

Film+ and Film+ 2 2011-2014. Both channels' idents feature a breaking glass with a moving ribbon. The main station ID even featured a movie theater with the credits ending. The only difference was the color: Film+ was blue, while Film+ 2 was pink.

Discovery's Pan-European subchannels (Civilization, Sci-Trek, Travel and Adventure), 1998-2005. All of them feature various situations suitable for the channels, ending with the image shown in the full logo which then shrinks into a line (like the main Discovery Channel logo).

Both the 1999-2003 Disney Channel EMEA/LA/Asia-Pacific idents (especially) and the following 2003/2005 package.
These gave me a feeling of "home"

That's because especially I miss the channel how it was, which now, in Italy, doesn't even exist anymore

Strictly limiting myself to television channels I actually watched and never the channels whose idents I only saw in videos.

RTP 1: 2002~2011 looks. September 2011's look was a total downgrade. 2013's look was OK, but over time the package worsened when they changed the soundtrack. 2016 and 2018 also had decent looks (2017 was awful).
RTP 2: 2002 and 2007 (well, until it started feeling stale after some time)
SIC: the looks used between 2001 and 2009, especially the former. Then the channel had a downgrade in its looks and it started to show.
TVI: not much, when the channel was rebranding a lot it held on to its logo for longer than I can imagine.
SIC Notícias: pre-2011. The channel also had an amazing internal soundtrack, shame they changed it for the worse.
NTV/RTP N/Informação/3: looks as NTV, 2004 (2005 was a downgrade) and looks between 2008~2011 as RTP N and 2011~2012 for RTP Informação. The last two looks as RTP Informação were over-the-top.
SIC Radical: looks used until 2011. The channel's name stopped making sense after the 2011 rebrand.
SIC Comédia: the look the channel had. I even have one of the iterations of the channel's jingle (that isn't online) in my head.
SPORT.TV: pre-2008 and 2008~2016 looks (the latter started to degenerate over time).
TVCine: 2007~2012 (before the colors of TVC 3 and 4 swapped for no apparent reason), when I was first subscribed to the network in 2008.
Disney Channel: 2003~2014 as a whole. Wasn't fond of the 2014 rebrand but it grew on me.
Disney Cinemagic: the only look it had.
Canal Panda: looks used until 2015 when the current one came.
Nickelodeon: the look it had when we had EMEA, the September 2009~March 31, 2010 look as just Nick that we shared with other European feeds and the 2010 look.
(Panda) Biggs: basically everything when it still had Panda in the name.
Cartoon Network: European Checkerboard (a little), Squares (I still call them Squares), City, Arrow and CHECK it. 1.0.
Boomerang: 2005 look. Wasn't too fond of the 2012 one.
FOX: the look it had in the late 2000s.
Eurosport: 2011 (even though it was a little boring IMO).
Rai 1: 2003 (even though it started feeling dated by 2010) and 2010.
MTV UK (by means of its sister channels MTV Two and Dance): 2007. Despised by some, I truly enjoyed them, especially the character made for MTV Dance.

Since RandomMe named Rai1, gonna say that the kinda shortlived graphical set that some of their channels sported (Rai4, Rai Gulp) in which the "butterfly" ended in the box before disappearing were comfy.

I accidentally misread "Disney" as "Discovery" when you wrote this. But no problem.

New additions to my list: some Nat Geo sets.
Nat Geo CE, 2004-2005

The one that followed it: 2005-2010?

And Nat Geo HD EMEA, 2012-2016

Except for the 1st one, I remember seeing them live.

I also remember the 2006-2008 and 2008-2010? Animal Planet Europe idents, but I miss the former more!
There was even an extended variant of the "grass" ident.

I miss this:
TV Paprika 2007-2012: On the one hand, vegetables fall into the water and this is very characteristic of a gastro channel with this ident pack, and on the other hand, i have also seen very goodies from this era. These are the following: promo and teleshop idents with female singing, and 6+ ident (which is the rarest Hungarian television ident ever for me, used before Minichef)
