Also, a bit off-topic, but....

Taffy, will continue airing new episodes on Disney Channel feeds in Europe. This September, the second season will start airing on Disney Channel Romania / Bulgaria and also on the Hungary / Czechia feed, from 11th September on weekdays (at 16:55 CET in HU / CZ and 14:55 EET in RO / BG). The important thing is that, Disney will show the entire season 2 of the series, which includes even the rest of the episodes that were cancelled by Boomerang! While the second season as a whole will start over from 11th September, the part that was not aired by WarnerMedia will resume from 19th September, up until they will air the final episode at the beginning of October. Also, Disney Channel in Europe will be airing the episode which was banned by most of the Boomerang feeds, which is S2E15 ("Collared").

So, it only took for another company to acquire a purged show for it to survive. At least we will get to have the series finished with their respective dubbings. Most of the episodes titles from the rest of the season can be viewed here Taffy: Episodenguide

What I am curious now is if the cancelled episodes will have the same Boomerang dubbings (that if they managed to dub all of em before the write-off), or if new ones were ordered by Disney.

Boomerang MENA has rebranded to Cartoonito MENA right now, and before that, rather than Tom & Jerry Show bumper for Boomerang, Grizzy and the Lemmings, the last program on the channel, Next Bumper was being aired before the switch and then it switched over.

The DOG was disappeared when the filler aired and Cartoonito DOG was shown after a minute later.

Still, we're waiting for Boomerang Turkiye to rebrand.

Also, today is the last day for Mr. Magoo on Boomerang MENA before it rebrands, and Scooby Doo & Looney Tunes now went to CN MENA, and it was aired last year.

EDIT: Boomerang Turkiye is rebranded to Cartoonito with a huge DOG, and their first prgram was Grizzy and the Lemmings.

For me, just screenshotting the channel after it launches.

I already announced it few minutes after it reached 6:00 AM, but thanks for the recording.

Sadly, Boomerang Turkiye and Boomerang Africa were the ones that doesn't use the newer fillers before the start of the program, unlike Boomerang MENA, Boomerang Portugal, and Boomerang CEE.

Boomerang Nordic became Cartoonito, but the DOG dissapeared.

UPDATE: Boomerang DOG appeared. I guess they're like Boing France, which kept their DOG and then it changed.

as well as the last days of the MENA and Turkish feeds.... Yeah, they will turn into something way more nonsensical and stupid
Have you ever looked at the schedules of Boomerang MENA and Turkey?

If anything, they're giving these channels a direction

Gosh, I'm jealous. The only old show I can watch is What's New Scooby-Doo on linear television. Tooncast Global would've been a good idea. They should've tried for a few years because I'm sure nostalgia brings in viewers. They just don't want to try risky stuff.

It's about time a channel Boomerang UK and local Cartoon Network's offered a "classic" block such as the American one (albeit under the name Checkered Past), also possibly to revive the very very sad state of affairs also known as late night schedule.

But, EMEA, doesn't seem to care these days.

Given the fact TV is more and more watched by an older audience, they could only gain from that.

I think the separate Kids TV side-package* on Sky and Virgin are not helping the channels and preventing casual older viewers from watching them, I have an old legacy Virgin package which why I still have them, and will also keep TNT Sports. The package should've been scrapped with the closure of the Disney Channels. NOW had the right idea by having a singular Entertainment package, which BT TV uses.

Boomerang's purpose is now a mix of modern classic remakes and acquisitions, especially Lego.

* Kids Channels are included in the very top package in the newer package structure.

In Italy we had a late night schedule back in 2016, with The Flintstones and Wacky Races. Then they moved them over CN for a while. The one that worked best imo was the Ka Boom slot on the French Boomerang.

In any case, isn't an entire channel aimed at preschoolers a bit overkill these days? If you look up at the Sky family package in Italy, all channels are aimed at preschoolers, besides Nick and CN. Boomerang now is a de-facto Cartoonito, even though they can't rebrand it, as there's already the FTA channel.

I think Cartoonito would have worked better as a preschool block in the morning on Boomerang.

But, in the real world like it or not, preschoolers are an important source of income for channels these days.

They watch a lot of TV due to parents sticking their toddlers in front of the telly, hence the rise of channels such as Nick Jr, Disney junior and Cartoonito.
Having a channel catering different demographics often doesn't work, or just doesn't work as much, one category tends to take over the other.
Especially in this age, Cartoonito makes a lot of sense, older children just are more used to On Demand service, the Internet and so on, while.preschoolers depend ironically on parents, often still used to linear channels, although probably not for long.

Boomerang was not anymore what it was in the early 2000s, its raison d'être has vanished.
I expect Boomerang UK and France to become more like CN Too then channels with an established identity

At the same time, though, here in Romania at least, most of the preschoolers are watching animated content on the tablets or phones alone very often. Their parents are used to not take that much care of what they watch

Yes, and you can only imagine what older children are doing, if even toddlers are moving elsewhere

It's like that pretty much everywhere. Wouldn't be suprised if preschoolers parents leave a safe television channel like Cartoonito on, kids would watch alone as parents most likely have to do other stuff at home like cooking, cleaning etc.

yet not every show on Cartoonito in Europe is safe enough to just leave the channel on indefinetly.... But I won't go further into the discussion.
