Duo tearing through the Wily Egg in Mega Man #27 which is Part 10 of the Sonic the Hedgehog/Mega Man crossover Worlds Collide.

Besides the Wily and Eggman minions you have a Goomba making a cameo from Super Mario. Hmm.


From the back up story Consequences in Sonic the Hedgehog #263 where Eggman has that page "Mustacio Afficionado".

Dr. Light, Dr. Wily, plus Mario and Luigi.

See I figured back then they were just Easter eggs to spot, but now I wonder if it was in anticipation for this:

Sonic Universe #50- Bond Man who was planned for the first Mega Man game and again for the Powered Up remake before Time Man and Oil Man were made. But it was decided to keep him as a Phantom Robot Master.

Sonic the Hedgehog #251- The silhouetted RM in the middle on the right side is Compass Man from the untranslated game Rockman & Forte: Mirai kara no Chōsensha aka Rockman & Forte: Challenger from the Future.
